The service I received from [name removed] was excellent. She was easy to talk to, understanding, and patient, as well as providing good advise and exercises for me to work through. I would recommend her and the service.

Suggested improvements
I cannot think of anything that could have been improved.

[name removed] was knowledgeable and more trained and was able to suggest different techniques. Sharing the screen and different CBT Materials was useful and we worked as a team throughout the CBT therapy. [name removed] was very respectful and felt I was treated with dignity. I felt now better equipped to manage my OCD intrusive thoughts. I felt communication was really good and flexible with each others schedules. I felt I could openly share stuff with [name removed] without the fear of being judged. [name removed] helped me to normalise my thoughts and recognizing my safety behaviors. It was helpful to know that I had the option to involve my husband in some of the therapy sessions The homework meant that I was able to practice what I have learnt in the sessions at home, which meant I had the opportunity to carry out behavioral experiments to test out my predictions and beliefs independently.

Suggested improvements
The waiting time to see a CBT therapist was around 7 months - a shorter waiting time would be more beneficial to prevent the condition getting worse. This is not a reflection on Saziye but on the service in general.

Response from Campbell House

I am really pleased that Suzie's support has helped and I have passed on your comments. We understand about the need to be seen quickly and are reviewing how we provide mental health services to make them more available. Best wishes, Hugh Jones, Patient Experience Manager

Throughout my time of counselling, I never once felt unsafe or like I could never speak my mind. Even when I struggle to explain or describe my thoughts and feelings they were ever so patient with me and helped me to be able to make sense of my thoughts and feelings. It has been the best decision I had made and the service has been so kind, compassionate, efficient and professional. I have been grateful for it.

My therapist was [name removed]. She allowed me to speak, to joke etc but she also supported me to be able to achieve my goals which I don't think I could have without her. I feel so much better after having access to this wonderful service.

Never used this service before. I had a view that mental health services were difficult to access, overstretched, long waiting lists but I was pleasantly surprised - I had several phone calls chasing me and within a month I was signed up for 1:1 therapy which would start in 2 weeks time. The therapist was excellent, friendly, explained everything clearly on the phone. Everyone I spoke to was friendly. The webinar - I didn’t feel brave enough to join live but listened to it afterwards and thought the guys leading it was brilliant, and kind and showed genuine care.I couldn’t fault the service.

Suggested improvements
I don’t think there was anything you could have don’t better for me.

I absolutely loved the U & Me group, and I’m so sad it’s over, but so proud of myself for committing and making these changes to improve my life. The skills I have learnt from all 3 modules have already saved me in so many ways, in crisis, high moods, low moods, at work, with friends/family, and life in general. Mindfulness has improved my “now” and tuning into my “wise mind”. I didn’t think I would feel the way I do now, now the course is over, I didn’t think I’d even remember one skill, let alone use skills! Everyday I use my skills and everyday moving forward I plan to use my skills. Because I know they work, because they make me feel “normal”. I haven’t really got the words for how much the course has helped me. Thank you to [name removed] and [name removed] for all the support, and kindness when I needed it the most. I am forever grateful.
